My first job was attending a play. I was going to write about it, but someone else did it instead.

How is social media changing news?
There is a swarm of misinformation and there is no one in charge to fact-check. People who post on YouTube don't have editors and etc.
What does it mean to be a journalist?
To pursue true and new perspectives, but also be reasonable in the current climate. Like, don't interview a Nazi.
How do you prefer to be pitched on stories?
I like the concept first, but a full point to be made on a specific story is good too. I also like to be told in advance.
What tools and software do you use to do your job?
Microsoft Word and Google Chrome
Did you work for your high school newspaper? If so, what did you do there?
I wrote for my community college newspaper and my regular college newspaper. I mainly did movie reviews and events around the campus

What advice can you offer to aspiring journalists?
Write for as many people as you can; but most preferably paying jobs first. That way, you'll have a foundation and money.

Not Having a personality. I've written for publications that just wanted the facts.
