Abstract Dapagliflozin, a sodium–glucose cotransporter-2 (SGLT2) inhibitor, provides glycemic control and has proven cardiovascular and renal benefits in large trials, but its real-world use in Sudan has not been described. This study aimed to describe clinical characteristics, safety, adherence, and outcomes among Sudanese patients prescribed dapagliflozin in routine care. A multicenter retrospective cohort study (April–July 2022) was conducted at three cardiac hospitals in Khartoum, Sudan.
