Abstract Although interest in applying large language models (LLMs) in healthcare is rapidly growing, their role in supporting pulmonary rehabilitation (PR) for patients with chronic obstructive pulmonary disease (COPD) has not been well established. The primary objective of this study was to evaluate the accuracy, readability, safety, and overall quality of ChatGPT-generated responses through expert assessment.

Discussion This RCT protocol is designed to evaluate the effectiveness of the ePRO-CTCAE app, a mobile-based symptom management system on physical function during CTx. In this trial, we hypothesise that using the ePRO-CTCAE app can improve physical function through symptom control and serve as a crucial mediator between symptom control and cancer prognosis. Additionally, we anticipate that it may reduce unplanned medical visits and the resulting unnecessary loss of medical resources.

Study design and participants A cross-sectional mixed-methods study was conducted of cancer patients attending the outpatient clinic at the Samsung Medical Center in Seoul, Korea, from April 2017 to September 2017. Subjects were eligible to participate in the study if they were 18 years of age or older, had a histologically confirmed diagnosis of cancer, had no evidence of physical or psychological problems at the time of the survey, and were able to read Korean.
