The French authorities are intensifying their efforts to conduct anti-money laundering checks on cryptocurrency exchanges, including Binance and Coinhouse. The authorities are trying to figure out which of the more than 100 businesses that have registered to offer crypto services in the country will get EU-wide licenses in the following months.

A search warrant has been issued against celebrity hairstylist Jawed Habib and his son Anos Habib in connection with a multi-crore crypto fraud case. The father and son duo are accused of tricking more than 100 investors into putting money into Bitcoin and Binance coins through Follicle Global Company, which promised them unusually high returns.

The leading blockchain network Ethereum has topped the blockchain developers list of 2025, making it the most active ecosystem in crypto. Ethereum’s large ecosystem, which includes its Layer-1 network, Layer-2 rollups, and security-dependent chains, continues to attract more new and active contributors than its competitors. According to a recent X post by the Ethereum Foundation, the Ethereum ecosystem gained 16,181 new developers between January and September 2025.
