1 Introduction The prevalence of adverse food reactions (AFRs) among dogs with atopic dermatitis (AD) varies from 9% to 50% with an average of approximately 30% [1-4]. Long-term management includes either exclusive feeding with the elimination diet that was used to diagnose AFR provided that it is nutritionally balanced, or switching to a commercial or a balanced home-made diet that does not induce flares of AD [5].

1 Introduction Robust numerical modelling of contact problems is crucial for various engineering applications, including tyre-road interaction [1], soil-structure interaction [2, 3], and metal forming [4] amongst many. Despite significant progress in improving the accuracy of numerical simulations in contact mechanics, capturing the kinematic response of solid bodies during contact or impact remains a challenging task [5, 6].

1 INTRODUCTION During dynamic excitation, objects may predominantly experience a rotational motion involving repetitive separation, impact and re-contact with their supports. This phenomenon is known as rocking. Observing the foundations of certain structures uplift during earthquakes has led researchers to study the rocking phenomenon.
