Abstract Ketamine has emerged as a rapid and sustained treatment for Major Depressive Disorder (MDD) and an alternative for patients who have not responded to traditional therapies. Its effects have been partly attributed to the noncompetitive antagonism of the N-methyl-D-aspartate receptor (NMDAR) in the central nervous system, which enhances neuroplasticity.

Introduction Recent research has highlighted the significant impact of dietary fibers (DFs) on human health (1, 2) influencing the risk of chronic diseases, such as cancer, obesity, type 2 diabetes, and cardiovascular diseases (3, 4). DFs encompass soluble and insoluble fibers, which are a group of carbohydrates that cannot be digested or absorbed in the small intestine (3, 5).
