MARSHALL, Texas — Two people were killed and two others were injured in a shooting early Saturday morning at a Whataburger in Marshall, according to the Marshall Police Department. Police said officers were dispatched to the Whataburger on Victory Drive around 1:50 a.m. after receiving a 911 call reporting a shooting. When officers arrived, they found four people suffering from gunshot wounds in the restaurant's parking lot. This story continues below.

Multiple agencies respond to possible drowning in Smith County

Authorities are investigating a possible drowning at Lake Tyler after a woman was pulled from the water Sunday afternoon. Emergency crews were dispatched to the lake at approximately 4:43 p.m., according to a spokesperson for the Tyler Police Department. According to police, the individual involved is believed to be a mother in her 30s who was swimming in the lake. Authorities have not released the woman's identity.
