The rankings, lists, and journal scores that shape so much of business school strategy are exactly what faculty most want their institutions to abandon. That is one of the sharpest findings in the 2026 Positive Impact Rating, the student-led sustainability rating that this year, for the first time at scale, also asked professors to weigh in. Released in its seventh edition, the PIR draws on more than 20,000 student responses – 19,789 of them valid – from 90 schools in 32 countries.
