Keeping people fed can be a public initiative

Recently, volunteers affiliated with Food Not Bombs Roswell fed about a hundred hungry school-age children at a local park’s splash pad. For several years after the COVID-19 pandemic, public schools provided free meals to any child who sought it. Recently, however, schools have started requiring hungry children to bring a responsible adult to obtain a free meal.
