It's creating a space for more bad actors, but changing the way we get it every day.
Who's your favorite fictional journalist?
The ones from the short lived ABC Show "Alaska Daily." They single handedly solved a murder while day to day paper operations were going on.
What does it mean to be a journalist?
It means connecting to the community, finding out the stories that matter to them and telling stories.
What's the funniest news-related #hashtag you've seen?
Twitter (err, X) has had a lot of them, but during one of the schedule releases for the NFL the Titans made the name
How do you prefer to be pitched on stories?
Short, Succinct, but informational.
What tools and software do you use to do your job?
Google Docs and Grammarly. For my MMJ work, Adobe Premiere and Adobe Audition are included.

X (aka Twitter).

Any of the sports journalists: Adam Schefter, Adrian Woj, Shams Charmia, or even people from the bay area like Matt Maiocco or Susan Slusser
Why did you become a journalist?
Actually, because I thought it was my best path to be a play-by-play broadcaster. Now it's because I love telling stories!
Did you work for your high school newspaper? If so, what did you do there?
No, we had a yearbook class, but I was more of a band kid.
What story are you most proud of writing or working on?
I am most proud of the editorial I worked on for World Press Freedom day; It got noticed by the President of the college and made change.
What advice can you offer to aspiring journalists?
Learn how to write good open-ended questions, you will end up with more opportunities to follow up, and better information.

What's the best pitch you ever got?
As an Opinions editor, the best pitch I ever got was about Student Journalism from our then Editor-In-Chief.
What's the worst pitch you ever got?
I actually have never gotten a "bad pitch." All the pitches I got as an editor were pretty good.
What's your favorite drink?
I could always go for lemonade. Especially if it's Simply.
When you're not at a computer, where are you most likely to be?
Watching Sports on TV
Aside from your own, what's your favorite publication to read?
I love The Athletic. The sports story telling is the best in the industry.
