Jackets’ Jordan named Second Team All-HCAC for 2022-23

CARMEL, Ind. – Defiance College senior men's basketball standout Marell Jordan was among the Heartland Collegiate Athletic Conference's honorees for the fourth time in his five years with the Yellow Jackets. Jordan was named to the HCAC's All-Conference Second Team in a vote by the league's coaches, the league announced on Wednesday. Jordan led the HCAC in scoring average at 18.3 points per game through 21 games while his 384 total points ranked fifth.

Yellow Jackets snap skid with wire-to-wire win over MSJ

DEFIANCE, Ohio – The Defiance College men's basketball team earned their first conference victory and snapped a seven-game losing streak with a 71-57 win at the Weaner Center against Mount St. Joseph on Thursday. The Yellow Jackets (6-12, 1-10 HCAC) never trailed in the contest and hit 58 percent of their shots while scoring 20 points off 16 turnovers by the Lions (6-12, 5-6). The Yellow Jackets played a splendid first half that ended with a 38-26 lead at the break.

Franklin cruises to 67-40 win over Yellow Jackets

The Defiance men's basketball team struggled offensively Saturday afternoon and was defeated by Franklin, 67-40. The Basics: Records: Defiance (5-12, 0-10) Franklin (11-6, 7-3) Location: Spurlock Center - Franklin, Indiana Inside The Numbers: Marell Jordan was the only double-digit scorer for the Yellow Jackets, finishing with 11 points. Cole Wojciechowski and Landen Swanner each scored seven points. Ried Jury and Swanner each grabbed four rebounds.
