LANGKAWI: Shin Yang Sdn Bhd, a member of publicly listed Shin Yang Group Bhd, has been awarded the Letter of Intent (LOI) of RM298.5 million to complete the two MMEA Damen OPV1800 left unfinished by the previous builder, TTHE Destini JV. Parts the OPV2 and OPV3 are still stored at the THHE Fabricator in Pulau Indah, in Port Klang. The LOI was announced on the first day of LIMA 2025 here held at the Mahsuri International Exhibition Centre here today.

SHAH ALAM: An RMN speedboat – likely the one gifted by the King – was damaged during an incident at Teluk Baru, Langkawi, today. Videos of the incident showed the boat – conducting training for LIMA 2025 next week – running out of control on the water before crashing into a boat at Teluk Baru before running aground on part of a hill there. Bernama quoted the police as saying that two people were injured in the incident and the boat which the RMN speedboat had crashed into was a tourist boat.

LANGKAWI: LIMA 2025 starts tomorrow – aerospace segment at the Mahsuri International Exhibition Centre (MIEC) and Resorts World Langkawi, maritime segment – and as usual it is the biggest since its inception, says its main organiser, the Defence Ministry. Fifty-seven aircraft will be taking part in the flying display with another 43 aircraft on static display on the apron. The bulk of the aircraft are from Malaysia.
