1 Introduction Computational Fluid Dynamics (CFD) is the field of numerical methods for solving and analyzing fluid flow problems. The use of CFD in engineering and scientific research has become increasingly widespread in understanding fluid flow phenomena, optimizing designs, and predicting performance. Fluid behavior and interactions with structures and interfaces can be solved numerically, using a wide range of techniques and algorithms, and supported by HPC tools.

Abstract : The present article addresses the topic of grid motion computation in Arbitrary Lagrange–Euler (ALE) simulations, where a fluid mesh must be updated to follow the displacements of Lagrangian boundaries. A widespread practice is to deduce the motion for the internal mesh nodes from a parabolic equation, such as the harmonic equation, introducing an extra computational cost to the fluid solver.
