What does Sakha culture believe in?
I’m a middle age woman and I know that in my Republic of Sakha where I was born and raised — we believe in nature. The name is of religion “Tengrism”. However, in my own language is called “Айыы”. My own photo from morning summer time in Pattaya (Thailand). My family believes that the GOD is inside us. It means when we tell a lie or want to cheat on someone — it means we cheat ourselves.
How do Sakha people survive in this coldest place on Earth?
In this photo winter time (photo credit (Reuters)). I was born and raised in the coldest hometown in the world. I know what it means to walk in the street in wintertime (the coldest months are November, December, and January). I went to school, college, and university, and worked at the company. I don't have a car so I know the situation when you are waiting for the bus at the bus stop at 7 am when the temperature is -50 C. It's a challenge. You are alone on the street.
Why should you drink tea in winter time?
I grew up in Siberia. My family prefers to drink how tea because when outside our home -50 C. It's better to drink hot tea. However, the tea is too much hot. So you should wait and check the temperature when the tea is coming comfortably to you. In wintertime at minus 50 - 60 C, you will feel the cold and dark fog. I remember when I came back from school in winter time in the morning and when the dark came yearly then other places.
If you grew up somewhere expensive, is it worth continuing to live there?
I'm a middle-aged woman. I grew up in my hometown. The price of food and items increased every year I was living there. However, my salary didn't increase for a long time. I have a bachelor's degree in economics and this situation means my income stays the same and expenses increase. Finally, I don't have money to buy an air ticket/train to have the opportunity to see other places. It means I can stay only in my hometown.
