Synthesis and characterization of closo-decahydrido-decaborate-phosphine mediated by palladium(0) complexes We reported an efficient and selective preparation of apical mono-functionalized closo-decahydrido-decaborate anion [B10H10]2- with aromatic or aliphatic tertiary phosphines. Starting from [N(n C4H9)4]2[1 B10H9I], and 0.25-0.5 equiv. of Pd(0)-PR3, the corresponding [N(n C4H9)4][1-B10H9PR3] were obtained in high isolated yields under mild conditions.

Bis(diiminate)-based boron difluoro complexes: Effective synthon for bis(borenium) cations A series of boron difluoro bis(diiminate) complexes have been prepared and used to obtain triflate substituted fluoroborane complexes. The corresponding well-defined bis(borenium) cations were subsequently synthesized and structurally authenticated. We are also presenting the first experimental and theoretical study of bis(borenium) cations that are derivative of cationic borinic acid.
