Trudeau has yet to confirm the extension, but some senior govt. officials have told the media that border closures for non-essential travel will be extended until August 21st.

CANADA — July 1st was a Canada Day celebration like no other. With many in-person celebrations canceled due to the pandemic, Canada Day 2020 turned to a variety of celebratory virtual events. Some communities celebrated the day Filipino-style, and local residents including Prime Minister Justin Trudeau shared what they love about Canada.
