Maritza Martinez’s Biography

Engaged in active blogging about current news that influence and change our society and world.

Graduated Magna Cum Laude from the Pontifical Catholic University of Puerto Rico with a major in English in 2004. Expecting completion of my master's degree also in literature from the University of Puerto Rico, Mayaguez campus in a near future (work in progress).

My professional background, experience and accomplishments have been in the educational field for more than a decade. Having taught from Middle School to College Freshman Writing Courses.

Avid volunteer in fields related to education, community, and women's rights. Served as director (2011-2013) to the community based program After School Presbyterian Church in Corcovada.

Strong believer of the power of the written word and how it can transform opinions impacting our local and national communities.
