If you’ve never had the pleasure of attending a film festival it can be very easy to overlook the artform that is film programming. Aside from simply choosing what films to screen, stories can be woven through the strands in which films are presented, the order in which films are shown and even in their accompanying introductions or Q&A’s.

With five seasons under its belt, For All Mankind could arguably be Apple TV’s flagship series. A sublime mix of space-set spectacle and character drama, it’s no wonder the show has a legion of devoted fans and critical acclaim. The space-race saga has only been told through the eyes of NASA, but now we get a different viewpoint on the series’ alternate history in Star City. But don’t expect more of the same; this is a totally different beast from For All Mankind.

It’s finally here. After nine long weeks that somehow managed to go by far too fast at the same time, the SNL UK season finale has arrived. Of course, the journey to whether or not a British version of Saturday Night Live could work or not began long before the first episode ever aired. Upon its announcement, the show faced an uphill battle, with many doubting it could succeed.
