In 1960s nuclear war was such a threat the government issued pamphlets instructing citizens how to evacuate cities & survive. Vancouver Art Gallery has an A-bomb exhibit recalling that time. Future show should focus on climate change, a threat you can’t run & hide from. #bcpoli
The prairies will be hard hit when glaciers subside but Vancouver has the Fraser River running through it: 3,500 cubic metres of freshwater per second. Alberta is where the real danger lies - & Alberta is driving climate change with oil sands expansion.
Ottawa promises world class ocean protection but can’t even protect endangered species in one river. Shocking. Step one should be to ban all gill nets. #bcpoli
