Daviess had 1st team All-State softball players

Several softball players from 9th District and 3rd Region teams earned All-State recognition from the Kentucky Softball Coaches Association recently. The KSCA All-State teams are selected in three classes, determined by the KHSAA Track and Field alignment. Kentucky Miss Softball, All-State, and Coaching Staff of the Year are voted on by the KSCA members. Class 3A All-State Daviess County’s Molly Hancock and Annie Newman were first team All-State in Class 3A.

LEXINGTON — Apollo High School will play in the semifinals of the KHSAA Baseball State Tournament for the second time since 2023. Apollo baseball earns 3rd Region championship

GREENVILLE — In the high school baseball postseason, if there’s expected strong pitching on both sides, jumping on top early is a huge advantage. Apollo High School rode that plan to a 3-1 win over Meade County to earn the 3rd Region baseball championship on a warm Thursday night at Muhlenberg County High School. Apollo plated three runs in the top of the first inning and pitcher Ross Milburn was tough with a strong defense behind him.
