Richard Kilpatrick made it back-to-back wins on the PGA in Ireland circuit as a four-under 67 gave him a one-stroke win over Simon Thornton in the Total Splicing Solutions Donegal Pro-Am. The Banbridge man’s hot streak began at Luttrellstown on Wednesday where he birdied none of the 18 holes and claimed victory at -7, and after a one-under 72 in the opening round at Murvagh, he made the most of his early start in round two and came out all guns blazing.

Fine start for Mehaffey at Tipsport Czech Ladies Open

Olivia Mehaffey is best-placed of the Irish trio competing at the LET’s Tipsport Czech Ladies Open at Royal Beroun Golf Club after shooting a five-under 67. The Tandragee woman made a hot start at last week’s Dutch Ladies Open but admitted that the course didn’t play to her strengths and ultimately missed the cut, so she’ll be hoping to make amends this week. She began round one slowly, however, and found herself at one-over after bogeying the fourth.

McKibbin inside the top 20 as Niemann pulls clear in Italy

Tom McKibbin carded a four-under 67 and moved to -7, but Joaquín Niemann will take a two-stroke lead into the weekend of the DS Automobiles 83° Open d’Italia after a flawless second round at Circolo Golf Torino. The Holywood man made five birdies in total – three on the front and two on the back – with a lone dropped shot coming on six and he moved into a share of 18th at the halfway mark though he finds himself eight shots behind fellow LIV Golf man Niemann.
