Regionalization plan would have state control Medicaid waiver matches On Tuesday, June 30, Julie Monroe, superintendent with Lawrence County DD, was at the Lawrence County Commissioners meeting to get their support for a move to combine Lawrence County DD with nine other county DD boards in an effort to get the state to increase its financial support of their programs. Monroe explained that the DD board has been struggling financially after a local levyfailed at the ballot box.

Troop 106 honored for hitting century mark - The Tribune

Group got its start in 1926 Members of Scout Troop 106 gathered at the Lawrence County Commissioners meeting on Tuesday to receive a proclamation honoring them for being active for a century. The proclamation makes the week of June 28–July 4 as Troop 106 Week in Lawrence County. Scoutmaster Dave Lucas, who has been with the troop for 35 years, gave the quick story on how the troop found out how old it was.

New mural showcases Lawrence County - The Tribune

Was painted as part of America250 celebration For two weeks, Symmes Valley High School art teacher Jonda Carpenter put her skills to work creating a new America250 mural on the Ironton floodwall. She was contacted by Lou Pyles of the Lawrence County America250 committee to paint a mural to fit in with the other historic murals on Center Street Landing. The committee came up with the design and themes and left the art work to her. “That made it easy,” she said.
