Grand Seiko SBGJ283G 150 piece limited edition
After a long long search and being frustrated with Rolex and their antics I landed on this beauty. I recently moved to Shanghai and a month in, the itch started. I contemplated going to Japan and buying a piece, but I am a bit weary of being taxed on the way in. I looked at Tudor bb58 monochrome, IWC pilot chrono, Breitling super ocean, and Omega seamaster. None truly hit the mark. IWC although beautiful, the braclet was too small even with the extension.
Losing my mind... MM300 lost
as we prepare to pack up our belonging and being our journey to move to another country, I realized that my mm300 is missing, roughly three days ago. The last time I wore it was May 20 and have since switched to my gshock to avoid any accidental scratches as I walk through doorways carrying suitcases. We have a live in nanny that's been with us for 2 years and a 1.5 year old. Context for later.
Seiko SUN025
I had originally set my sights on a Tudor monochrome 21 with a jubilee, but after a month of waiting for it to be delivered, the watch never made it. This watch was one that I saw online a year ago, but it was snatched in a heartbeat. As I was looking for an alternative for the Tudor, the one that was never delivered, I saw this beauty once again and I couldn't resist buying it. A few questions about the mechanism. The previous owner stated that he just replaced the capacitor.
Tudor blackbay monochrome vs pelagos 42
Im looking to purchase one of the mentioned watches. Although I've grown to like the monochrome bb I'm a bit worried about the bezel getting beat up. I like the T clasp extensions on the bb vs the spring loaded one on the pelagos. Ive been eyeing the pelagos for a while but with the new found fascination of the bb especially with the jubilee, i'm now conflicted. What your opinion? Do you have pictures of the watch after its been worn and beaten up.
Moving to China- Shanghai- Many watches
Hello everyone! I'll be moving to China in about 6 months and I have around 29 watches between my wife and myself, 26 are mine, and I am a bit worried about the import tax situation. Most of the watches are Seikos and G Shocks. some higher end Seikos in the mix, a GS along with a couple of other heavy hitters 10k+. Obviously, I won't be shipping the watched in the contained but instead I will have them in my carry on or checked in luggage.

Seiko Samurai v Tudor Black Bay v Rolex Submariner shoot out
Outstanding post Dog - loved it - great work - thank you As you & others acknowledge the comparison is of course not even: UK prices roughly: £350 vs £2800 vs £5500 I think it shows a few things: 1) you dont have to spend huge sums to buy a cracking watch; 2) the principle of diminishing returns is clear= the BB is not 8x the Seiko, the Rolex not double the BB; 3) there are clear noticeable improvements in ability & quality the more you pay I think the comparison becomes more interesting as...

G-Shock (maybe a Seiko) - What to get next? A different perspective is needed [gwf-d1000][snj033]
G-Shock (maybe a Seiko) - What to get next? A different perspective is needed I have the opportunity to purchase a new watch. I'm debating between the GWF-D1000, the GPR-H2000 or possibly the new Seiko army stainless. I currently own a GPR-B1000, GWN-Q1000, GWF-A1000, GWF-D1000B, and a GWG-1000 I understand that buying the GWF-D1000 (original colorway) is a repeated watch, but I don't mind owning a couple of the grand daddy Frogman. and that's why it is on the list.
Another "which one" thread...the current Sbbn031 Tuna or MM300 SBDX023?
#1 · I currently own a black bezel Tuna, SBBN031 and do really like it. But, I have been eying the latest MM300 with black ceramic bezel and sapphire crystal. I've never seen one in person, nor do I have access to one. For those of you that have experience with both which do you prefer? Side note, the fact that the Tuna is a quartz is not an issue to me. Does the MM300 fit, finish, craftsmanship, wrist presence worth the 2.5X price jump?
What Is Emotional Abandonment in Marriage?
Sitting on the sofa in my office during their first couples counseling session, Alena, 38, describes the loneliness she feels in her ten-year marriage. As she shares the ways her husband, Dan, 43, withholds approval and affection from her, he sits quietly and doesn’t respond to her comments. In most cases, it’s not anger or strong emotions that destroy a marriage. It’s emotional abandonment in marriage or neglect.
