At 16 yrs oId I wrote letter to the editor of a local newspaper about the Costa-Gravras film "Missing" and US intervention in Central Ameria

What does it mean to be a journalist?
Honesty, curiosity, dedication and compassion are prerequisites for the job. Real journalists report on something because no one else is!
What tools and software do you use to do your job?
Audio recording software and automated video editing and broadcasting software, etc.
What's your favorite social network?
Probably twitter just because i can follow and break news so fast!
Who do you wish followed you?
The United Nations Secretary-General and the Dali Llama. Oh wait! Maybe they do...
Why did you become a journalist?
Other journalists & broadcasters inspired me. Seattle writer Geov Parrish, Amy Goodman, Chris Hedges, Glenn Greenwald, Greg Palast, etc.
Did you work for your high school newspaper? If so, what did you do there?
I drew a comic, wrote satire pieces.
What story are you most proud of writing or working on?
An investigative news story for the Pacifica Radio Network, etc. about suppressed FCC research on corporate media ownership consolidation.
What advice can you offer to aspiring journalists?
Be tough. Stay persistent. Don't take no for an answer. Be hungry, motivated and stubborn! Love your work...
