1 Introduction Head and neck squamous cell carcinoma (HNSCC) is the sixth most common form of cancer in the world. Approximately 450 000 people die from this disease each year, with oral squamous cell carcinoma (OSCC) representing over 90% of HNSCC [1]. Unfortunately, the incidence rate of OSCC is projected to increase by 30% by the end of the decade.

Abstract Intravenous administration of lipid nanoparticles for the delivery of nucleic acid therapeutics remains constrained by passive uptake mechanisms in the liver, often necessitating high doses to achieve meaningful transfection in specific cells of interest.

The results and conclusions of the work remain unchanged.
