National Super League (NSL) side Luanda Villa tactician Gilbert Selebwa believes bench power and financial muscle will be key in the ongoing transfers windowahead of the 2024/2025 season set to kick off onAugust 31. However, Selebwa said his priority at the moment is to elevate Luanda Villa to the Kenya Premier League at the end of the 2024/2025 NSL season. The only way this dream can be achieved is by having strong bench power and financial strength to sustain the players.

Chakol Queens are not settled despite gaining promotion to the 2024/25 National Women's Super League (NLS). Head coach Antony Wekesa said lack of finances remains an impediment to their ambition to punch above their weight. " We can't sign new players at the moment hence we are not sure of what lies ahead unless we get a sponsor," he added. Like their counterparts, Wekesa said they would love to plunge into the transfer market and spur Chakol Queens to NSL stardom.

Vihiga County teams have been advised to seek their own money to fund their activities and stop relying on the county allocation only. The clubs were told the little resources they received from the county through the Sports Fund were only meant to support their continuity. Vihiga County sports chief officer, Sylvester Kaane said: “What we have might not be enough for all teams and that is why we have measures in place to ensure we select the teams for the funds,” Kaane said.
