By Martin Popoff She's sure to walk this earth as a mature and stately lady now, and her basket of flowers is long gone, but the album many fans consider Helmet's finest glory, 1994's Betty, is due for a reminder and reconsideration. To be sure, it was 1992's Meantime that achieved gold status for New York's finest post-hardcore band, but the follow-up with so much promise finds the band transitioning from the exciting "lightning in a bottle" phase to the psychic plane of self-actualization.
