INTRODUCTION Raspberries (Rubus ideaus) contribute significantly to the UK economy, worth £147.5 million in 2021 (DEFRA, 2023), but are vulnerable to fungal pathogens such as Botrytis, Rhizopus, Mucor, Cladosporium, and bacterial pathogens such as Erwinia and Agrobacterium (Williamson et al., 1991).
