Daniel Muñoz, MD, MPA Daniel Muñoz, MD, MPA, Executive Medical Director of the Vanderbilt Heart and Vascular Institute, has been selected as President-Elect of the American Heart Association (AHA) Southeast Board of Directors. Muñoz is an Associate Professor of Medicine in the Division of Cardiovascular Medicine at Vanderbilt Health.

American College of Cardiology recognizes Vanderbilt University Hospital’s care for heart attack patients

The American College of Cardiology (ACC) has recognized Vanderbilt University Hospital (VUH) with its 2026 Gold Performance Achievement Award on its Chest Pain/Myocardial Infarction registry. According to the ACC, the award program “recognizes hospitals participating in the registry who have demonstrated sustained, top-level performance in quality of care and adherence to guideline recommendations.
