A Melbourne auctioneer has warned sellers not to chase “yesterday’s price for today’s marketplace” after a first-home buyer paid $715,000 for a Bayswater townhouse. Five active bidders fought for the keys to the three-bedroom home at 2/13 Armstrong Rd on Saturday, pushing the result $65,000 above its reserve.

Aussie tiny homes given go-ahead to ease the housing crisis

News Add as a preferred source on Google A pilot program aiming to use tiny homes to ease our housing crisis has been given the go-ahead, in what is believed to be an Australian first. The Shellharbour City Council, on the South Coast of NSW has given the OK for tiny homes to be rented out in its juridiction. The two-year trial takes away the need to apply for a development application for certain “mobile tiny homes used as rental accommodation in Shellharbour” – according to the council.
