Descendent ★★★ A slow burn even at 90 minutes that I'm sure will be too slow for many. However, the performances were what kept me reeled in. A bit of "Communion" mixed with a dash of "Eraserhead" with a more disciplined director. 28 Years Later ★★★½ In and of itself, "28 Years Later" is fine movie. The problem is that it will naturally be compared to its predecessors and, on that count, it falls a bit short. Together ★★★½ While Michael Shanks and his cast and crew do a fine job, this just isn't my jam. I am not typically a body horror fan (Cronenber's The Fly being a notable exception) but my son will probably love this.
