Matt Taylor

Being a critic is the only job I've ever seriously considered - much to the annoyance of my family as a teenager. I love media, and I love writing about media: one of my favourite feelings in the world is being bowled over by a film, a TV show, or an album, and then being able to get all my feelings down on the page for people to read.
I'm a Manchester lad, born and raised - I'm extremely proud of my hometown and the heritage that comes with it. I studied my undergraduate degree in English at the University of Birmingham, and later this year will begin a postgraduate course in Magazine Journalism at Cardiff University. I love the challenges and new faces and places that come with moving to a new city, and can't wait to dive into it - pandemic allowing, of course!
