What voters learned in 2016: Donald Trump denigrates non-white people from other countries and has a history of bad behavior around women. What we learn today: President Trump denigrates non-white people from other countries and paid off a porn star.
Stormy Daniels, the porn star who was paid off by Donald Trump’s lawyer, was recruited to run against then-Senator David Vitter of Louisiana in 2010. She explored the bid (and went on a listening tour) before deciding not to run.
A month before the election, a lawyer for Donald Trump arranged a $130,000 payment to a former adult-film star as part of an agreement that precluded her from publicly discussing an alleged sexual encounter she had with Trump in 2006.
@jdawsey1 Aide 1: Let’s write “the president didn’t say it” Aide 2: But he did say it Aide 1: Ugh. Fine. “We don’t recall the statements”?? Aide 2: Ah. Good. But we may need to hedge more (my guy does, actually, recall the statements) Aide 1: Let's add “specifically” Aide 2: Perfect!
