The Union Friday welcomed back Kai Wagner on a permanent transfer from Birmingham City. That’s the same Wagner that was sold to the English second division club in January. The fee then was a reported $1.5 million. It cost the Union $4 million to get him back, and he will become a designated player.

Charlie Hall, Son of Gary Hall Jr., Raising Money for Training Expenses Charlie Hall, the son of 10-time Olympic medalist Gary Hall Jr., is crowdfunding to pay for a training trip to France. Charlie Hall is a senior at Torrey Pines High School in California. Despite his bloodlines, Hall only started swimming at age 16. He’s taking a gap year to train first with Coley Stickles in Dallas, then at the training program of Les Dauphins du TOEC in Toulouse, led by French coach Nicolas Castel.

Not professionally. But I can recall playing around with the typewriter my father used when he was in college when I was a young kid.

How is social media changing news?

It adds more immediacy, which presents both opportunity and challenges. It's as much finding the niche as trying to do it all
