Abstract Pre-existing conditions may influence emergency cancer diagnosis risk and decisions on investigations for potential cancer symptoms. In this retrospective cohort study we investigated whether the duration of pre-existing Anxiety/Depression and chronic analgesic use was associated with emergency lung cancer diagnosis and pre-diagnostic chest-imaging activity. We used linked primary care, hospital records and cancer registration data in patients with lung cancer.

This is a traditional rendition of this somewhat dark and sombre tale of love, betrayal, horrific death, and revenge. The period in which this production sets the opera is later historically, but there are aspects of the set (Jacob Battista) and costume design (Maya Anderson) that easily evoke the mediaeval era of the story. The set and lighting (Tom Vulcan) design are both strikingly simple and austere which suits the solemn atmosphere of the opera.
