Game Preview #4: Wolves at Cavaliers Game Thread
To quote new Timberwolves commentator Kevin Calabro, "Nothing but cord." Fresh off another hot shooting night where Minnesota was 15 for 31 from deep (48%) they prepare for their first back-to-back of the season. Coach Chris Finch rewarded the effort of his squad with frequent breathers and deployed 11 players in non-garbage minutes. Some of this was due to LaMelo Ball foul trouble. Or was that Melo's strategy all along for saving his legs for the next day?

Game Preview #3: Wolves at Raptors Game Thread Original
It has been half a decade since the Wolves won their first two regular season games to start the season. That was Chris Finch’s first full season as Minnesota’s coach. He led that team through the play-in and into a spirited six game series against the number two seeded Memphis Grizzlies. Since then, the Timberwolves have had their best stretch of basketball of their existence while also wrestling with their identity through its myriad iterations. Thus far, there has been little wrestling.
Wolves 115, Magic 93: Full Pack Performance Original
In a game where no Timberwolf scored more than 15 points and collectively shot 43% from the field, Minnesota routed the Orlando Magic with second efforts that stymied any attempts to close the gap. From the start, the Wolves were determined to pester the Magic. They forced turnovers, gang rebounded, and looked to pass the ball to teammates in transition. It was so impressive even older brothers were doling out compliments to their younger siblings.
11th Annual, Tried and True Canis Hoopus Opening Night Predictions
Another Timberwolves season is upon us as the clock winds down on the offseason. New faces and jerseys grace the Wolves this season as Minnesota fans hunker down for the winter and NBA basketball. Den Questions: Start of the AntBall Era
Welcome to the Den! Over the course of the season I want to take 10 game snap shots and ask and answer a few questions about the Wolves. Some of these questions are about serious hoop, some of them are the silly questions I think about riding the Green Line to the Target Center. So curl up with a beverage of your choice, get comfy, and stay awhile.

Preseason Preview #5: Wolves at Bulls Game Thread
The Minnesota Timberwolves head to the Windy City to close out their preseason schedule against the Chicago Bulls. After a series of games that showed the awe-inspiring flashes of the starting five's offense and the tenuous causeway the bench will need to walk to maintain leads, we're ready for the games to actually matter. Before we can get started with the real stuff, once more we head into the breach. Who: Minnesota Timberwolves (3-2) vs.

Preseason Preview #2: Wolves “host” Pacers Game Thread Original
After drubbing the Milwaukee Bucks on Monday, the Wolves are back in action on Wednesday to take on the Indiana Pacers. One game in and I’m already happy to never have to look at the Timberwolves in their 1920’s Bathing Suit jerseys ever again. See below, Andrew Wiggins looking more like he’s playing in a bath tub with a Toxic Avenger themed bath bomb than getting ready for an NBA season. WNBA Playoffs: Liberty at Lynx Game 2 Thread Original
There are platitudes aplenty for the situation the Minnesota Lynx find themselves in. They were run off their own homecourt as the number one seed, falling to the eighth seeded New York Liberty by a final score of 91-75. The fairy dust that had kept them soaring through the regular season looks to be all but spent. But down is not out, so lets see what magic Coach of the Year Cheryl Reeve can come up with.
Five Wolves lineups we want to see
Training camp is here, and the Minnesota Timberwolves have reported. The starting lineup looks to be locked up with Anthony Edwards, LaMelo Ball, Rudy Gobert, Jaden McDaniels, and Jonathan Kuminga. Level of play, injuries, and selective rest will shift that lineup as the season goes on, but those starters are more vital than ever. In past seasons, Coach Chris Finch has been near dogmatic about sticking with his rotation and playing sparingly with players on the far end of it.

Lynx 101, Sun 89: Minnesota Cools Hot Shooting Sun Original
After three losses since the World Cup break, it has been nearly a month since the Minnesota Lynx notched a win. On Sunday, behind a strong first-half performance by Napheesa Collier that was echoed in the second half by Olivia Miles, the Lynx fended off the Connecticut Sun to stay a full game atop the standings. Coach Cheryl Reeve’s team sprinted out of the gates in each quarter and turned pesky defense into offense on the other side.
Liberty 93, Lynx 81: Pushed Around Again Original
Coming out of the World Cup break there was hope that Minnesota would bounce back to their winning ways. Instead, on Friday night, the Lynx just bounced off the bodies of New York Liberty defenders. Presumptive Rookie of the Year Olivia Miles continues to get special attention by opposing defenses. Tonight was no different.
