Winner for a three-part series on childhood lead poisoning rates in Chicago. The series examined how children continue to be exposed to unsafe levels of lead, particularly in areas of the city with a greater concentration of poverty. The series included tagging along with a city lead inspector for a day, city data analysis and having soil samples tested.
