Growing up in Epworth, Iowa, sports were a constant presence in his life. His first love was baseball, which he played passionately until 19. As he progressed through high school, he also participated in football, basketball, and tennis, each contributing to his sense of discipline, teamwork, and resilience. These early athletic experiences continue shaping his approach to work and life. As an adult, he remains a dedicated supporter of professional sports teams such as the St. Louis Cardinals, Green Bay Packers, and Cleveland Cavaliers.

Matthew’s professional journey has led him to work as a Paint Line Laborer at a metal fabrication company. In this role, he applies coatings to metal products, requiring significant attention to detail and a commitment to quality. His work requires precision, and he consistently meets these high standards. Before this position, he worked in the automotive industry from May 2016 to August 2018, where he developed valuable skills and learned the importance of working together as a team. This experience has been instrumental in shaping his approach to his current role, where collaboration and reliability are essential.

Matthew’s academic background includes studying Criminal Justice at Hawkeye Community College, where he gained an in-depth understanding of responsibility, integrity, and fairness. These values have stayed with him, guiding him in his professional and personal endeavors. The knowledge he gained in the criminal justice program has helped him develop a strong sense of ethics, which continues to influence his decision-making and interactions with others.
