I am starting on a project as the senior to the person I find the most difficult in the practice. For various reasons, I can’t change that. How do I make it work? Realise that ‘difficult’ is a perception. Nobody likes to hear this, but it can be that we are partially responsible for why we find a person ‘difficult’. It’s possible this person thinks the same of you. We cannot easily change others, but we can change our own actions, expectations and perceptions to alleviate the situation.
