What was your first job as a journalist?

My first paying, recurring freelance role was writing top tens for WhatCulture. Far from a glorious start, but it was great practice.

Have you ever used a typewriter?

No but, if I did, I'd write, "All work and no play makes Jack a dull boy," ad nauseam.

Who do you wish followed you?

David Mitchell. As a writer, actor and comedian, his wit and eloquence is second-to-none and I have a lot of respect for him.

What's your favorite drink?

Sugarcane lemonade. I only get to have it when I go to Eid Mubarak parties, but its scarcity only makes it sweeter!
