How do you prefer to be pitched on stories?
E-mail is best. Better to keep track of notes and ideas.
What tools and software do you use to do your job?
Microsoft office applications and email. If I'm in a pinch I will write and submit stories by phone. It's all been done.

Instagram. I love the use of art and imagery to tell a story.

Why did you become a journalist?
I've always been a musician and enjoy sharing my love for music and arts education with the community.

Yes. Contributing writer. Campus stories and music.
What story are you most proud of writing or working on?
Many proud moments, but getting published is always nice.
What advice can you offer to aspiring journalists?
The media never sleeps, so read and be aware of all the other journalists covering the world. Always think of expanding your readership.
When's the best time to pitch you?
The media never sleeps, by afternoon, I'm deep in deadlines. Hit me in the early morning or evening.
What's the best pitch you ever got?
Too many to mention. Just being able work and do what I love to do makes them all unique and special.
What's the worst pitch you ever got?
I've had many, just don't make demands. Be polite and communicate clearly.
What's your favorite drink?
Cafe Bustelo, with extra creme and sugar.
When you're not at a computer, where are you most likely to be?
On a hike listening to my favorite podcasts.
