BERKELEY COUNTY, S.C. (WCSC) — A new 2,000-acre planned development called ‘Lake Village’ is trying to get planning and zoning approval ahead of an upcoming Berkeley County planning commission meeting this week. The project is located off the Highway 17A corridor in the vicinity of Cane Bay Plantation and the Lakewood and Windwood communities. It consists of 5,500 dwelling units, including single-family homes, multifamily homes, and a variety of commercial and institutional uses.
