What was your first job as a journalist?

I count my first job to be managing editor of The Rocky Philadelphia, a student paper I cofounded to unite young writers and readers.

How is social media changing news?

News is faster, more interactive and more experiential than ever before. Social media gives the true test of a strong headline and lead.

Who's your favorite fictional journalist?

Who doesn't love Superman?

Why did you become a journalist?

I love to engage with my community and learn about exciting innovation. I have a need to be in the know and stay ahead of the curve.

Did you work for your high school newspaper? If so, what did you do there?

I worked as a writer, features editor, columnist and layout editor before becoming the editor-in-chief of The Cougar Chronicle in PA.

What story are you most proud of writing or working on?

When's the best time to pitch you?

Pitch me during weekdays. Particularly, Tuesday-Thursday afternoons work the best for me.

When you're not at a computer, where are you most likely to be?

When I'm not writing you can find me trekking across Boston meeting new people and scouting out new delicious cheap eats.
