KENT, Ohio – The Kent State field hockey team competed in its final home contest of the 2025 season on Sunday afternoon, narrowly falling 3-2 in overtime to James Madison. The Golden Flashes (4-10, 3-5) showed tremendous resolve to come back from a one-goal deficit twice in regulation, before the Dukes found a winner in the second period of overtime.

KENT, Ohio – Ava Drexler-Amey sent in a cross that trickled past the Kent State defense to lift James Madison past the Golden Flashes in double overtime, 3-2, in Mid-American Conference field hockey action on Sunday afternoon at Murphy-Mellis Field. With the win, the Dukes (10-7, 5-3 MAC) have recorded double-digit victories in four of the last five seasons.
