Maynard Manyowa’s Biography

My journalism journey began in 2007 when I was in High School. I am a Zimbabwean born journalist and documentary film maker. Hold an MA in Documentary Journalism, from Nottingham Trent University. Currently studying a Doctor of Philosophy (PhD) in Journalism and Media at Bournemouth University.

Most recent projects are two radio documentaries on BBC World Service and BBC Radio. Have worked as a multimedia journalist for The Voice Newspaper in London. My work has been featured on Derby Telegraphy frontpage as a Photojournalist.

Professional photographer and photojournalist, with a keen interest in sports photography and sports journalism. Covered Vitality Netball Cup in Birmingham and London in 2020.

Worked for Daily Maverick as a correspondent before I moved to the UK, as well as News 24. My work has been published by Newsday, Standard, and Zimbabwe Mail.
