B.Eveready: The Crab Season EP
Tell me about “The Crab Season EP” as a concept; I know there’s intention there: Absolutely! I really wanted to do a project with most of the other artists that I respect in the city that I haven’t had a chance to work with. So in 2021, I started collecting beats & reaching out to folks. The Crab Season theme came to me as I was cracking some claws; we are always called “crabs in a barrel”, but in Baltimore we LOVE crabs! So I just started playing around with that idea.

Interviews Published on August 4th, 2023 | by MC Bravado Maryland emcee Devon Brent is an off-the-top savant. There's a Method to the Madness of E-Stro
Interviews Published on July 10th, 2023 | by MC Bravado Los Angeles artist E-Stro brings a Daniel Day-Lewis sensibility to songwriting, believing one should immerse themselves in something to optimally convey it. Some of the greatest performative art we’ve seen has occurred on disaster or even death’s door, as we famously saw with Heath Ledger’s incarnation of the Joker. I was a big fan of his “Hate 2 Love U” project by way of its storytelling prowess, depth of perspective, and cinematic feel.
Debut EP from AwallArtist Reminds Us "Respecting Perspectives" is Paramount
Hampden (Baltimore) native AwallArtist just dropped his debut EP, “Respecting Perspectives” (having the release show just this past week in Hampden). In a recent sit-down we had, he said he decided to cast aside his default meticulous process of music-making in favor of something entirely authentic to himself. “Respecting Perspectives” was mixed and mastered by award-winning engineer, producer, and studio/label owner Brandon Lackey at Lineup Room Recording Studios in Baltimore.

Lil Webb: A Twenties “Whoracle”
In essence, The Roaring Twenties really were “The Whoring Twenties.” I give you excess and new money and beautiful young people in a burning but bleak world, drunkenly cackling on the doorstep of impending war and even more carnage. Let’s distract and numb ourselves and call it what it is, equal parts numbing and basking. Time is indeed a flat circle (word to Rust Cohle), and history appears to be repeating itself as the whoring twenties are upon us again.
Whoracle: Lil Webb is a Baltimore Original
Interviews Published on April 26th, 2023 | by MC Bravado Lil Webb is one of the most gifted young musicians in Baltimore. It’s the classically trained vocal range meets the ability to Rap, Rap means the ardent student of Pop, meets Baltimore American Zeitgeist sensibilities with an acute awareness of his hometown of Baltimore. Webb takes his craft and furthermore his projects seriously, a thought as prevalent as ever on “Whoracle“, his latest project which features our friend from tour Marley B.
Happy Endings: Raphaela Nehme is a Citizen of the World with a Story to Tell

Dreams Really Exist with Dre Polo
Interviews Published on March 9th, 2023 | by MC Bravado Dre Polo just might be my favorite up-and-coming artist out of Phoenix. It’s his work ethic (9 projects in 11 years, check out 2023 drop No Sleep Til Billboard), approach to business (founder of his own company: DREAMS REALLY EXIST), and an energy that not only translates well musically but personally; he’s a nice, honest dude who you simply want to root for.
Psalmurai & Teck-Zilla: ‘Enter The Double Dragon II’
Enter The Double Dragon II is the sequel to the EP of the same name by Nigerian veteran emcee/videographer Psalmurai and globe-trotting producer/DJ Teck-Zilla. While the first EP was just 3 tracks long, the sequel goes full throttle with 7 tracks that continue the duo’s fusion of martial arts and hip-hop with their distinct twist.
Baltimore’s Charles Turner-Cox is Game for Everything

Well Wishing for Julian Kerins
Global charting globetrotter Julian Kerins is well on his way to achieving a well-rounded status in the industry that most artists can only dream of. The NY native is beaming with potential in the process of realizing itself. As a result, Kerins is evolving beyond “artist to watch” and into “artist that has arrived.” As someone who has now known him a few years, this has been a joy to watch, when talent meets hard (and smart work) and opportunity, so goes the old adage.

Charles Turner-Cox is Winning on and off the Field

Charles is a native of the city in which I currently reside (Baltimore) and discusses coming up in Charm City as well as his inspirations and aspirations in life and football. Charles is well-educated with a strong business acumen that speaks to a long and successful life outside of the game he loves.
Julian Kerins' "In Billowing Skies," Live Performance Emanates a Deep Reflection

Steelle4Real "B4 The Fame" is a Way of Life
Interviews Published on December 30th, 2022 | by MC Bravado In anticipation of his latest and greatest (“B4 The Fame”, OUT NOW already circling on ATL radio), I sat down with Atlanta’s Steelle4Real, to discuss all things good. Steelle’s genuine and down to Earth nature in addition to being dope (and believable) as an artist make him not only endearing but someone to watch in what is sure to be a massive 2023. . Tell me about how you came up and where you’re from? I’m from Exit 42, Yemassee, SC.
Real Deal is The People's Champ
Interviews Published on November 21st, 2022 | by MC Bravado Seeing Eyedea at the Blaze Battle piqued my interest in Battle Rap. I already loved Hip Hop and was always in trouble for running my mouth, so seeing someone clown another person so viciously and so spontaneously captivated me to the point that two years later, I was battling as well, well before I ever penned a rhyme of my own.
Label Necklace Kicks Off Events Series with "Merch Mixer" and Photoshoot
Happenings Published on November 21st, 2022 | by MC Bravado When my business partner Brandon Lackey and I started Label Necklace, this is what we had in mind: community building and artist empowerment. Baltimore (as well as the DMV) has an abundance of dope creatives but could use more artist-friendly events designed to exchange invaluable info and connect dope people, so they could do more dope shit.

This time he comes with a new single in “Love No Heaux”. On it we get to hear Dus10 in his element, relaxed with the flow over some cold production. In regards to the track he said the following: “I wrote this song to help make the younger generation aware of not being trapped by promiscuous women.
Sunny Cowell Will Rise This Fall
It’s Always Sunny in Baltimore With the October 7th release of her “Anthology of Love” project and her performance/celebration the following evening, Sunny Cowell is poised to have a massive October. She is an accomplished musician and multi-instrumentalist and if she wasn’t busy enough, she also happens to be an attorney (“Business” is half of the “Music Business”, so I’m always happy when an artist knows the ins and outs of the game).

MC Bravado – Enough’s Enough Ft. Eze Jackson
Niyah Nel November 21, 2016 Rapper/English Teacher MC Bravado recruits one of Baltimore’s dopest and most respected voices, Eze Jackson, for “Enough’s Enough”, a vitriolic battle cry for “the other 99%.” One of MC B’s earliest influences as an artist was Nonphixion, and it shouldn’t take a seasoned ear long to deduce Brav is echoing their sentiments with his own voice of dissent. The song was produced by Militant Marxman, MC Bravado’s Cypher Junkies brethren; it features cuts by DJ MooseJaw.

P.A.T. Junior Makes His Own Luck.. (And Beats...And Videos)
Raleigh resident P.A.T. Junior epitomizes the indie hustle– you can pay him for a feature on the beat he produced for you, then he’ll turn around and not only shoot, but edit the song’s video he produced and hopped on for you too.. Seriously, he edited my last music video. Fortunately, PJ’s gifts does’t coincide with a destructive ego. He’s an old soul: kind-hearted, pure, honest, and expressive.
