1. Introduction In today’s increasingly technologically innovative world, employees sometimes take the initiative or are forced to resort to unethical behavior to aid the company’s survival. This kind of unethical behavior with altruistic motives for the benefit of the organization is called unethical pro-organizational behavior (UPB; Umphress et al., 2010; Umphress and Bingham, 2011).
