The Fields of Gold festival logo Thousands of music fans are expected to turn up at Tameside Stadium on Friday, September 4th and Saturday, September 5th. The festival gets underway on Friday from 5pm, with music running until 11pm. Saturday’s action begins at midday and continues through until 11pm. Tameside Council's Executive Cabinet has approved plans to move forward with the proposed Ashton and Stalybridge Mayoral Development Corporation (MDC). Public consultation ran from 27 May until 8 July 2026, with overall support for the creation of an MDC (61%).
