I’m designing the input stage of a 48V three-phase inverter for PMSM motor control and I’d like your opinion on my reasoning. I’ve chosen this diode and this fuse. The input and output parameters are shown in the photo (the ranges for Vi, Ii and the corresponding inrush current at the input), and two solutions are also shown: the first is ‘simpler’ as it only uses a diode and a fuse; the second (I haven’t worked it out in detail; I’ve just included it amongst the options) is more sophisticated.
The NE565: The Chip That Made the Phase-Locked Loop Practical
Signetics introduced the NE565 in the early 1970s as the general-purpose member of its 560-series phase-locked loop family, the first commercially significant line of monolithic PLLs. The phase-locked loop was nothing new as a concept, but until a single chip could hold the pieces together, building one meant assembling a voltage-controlled oscillator, a phase detector, and a filter from discrete parts that drifted with temperature and fought to stay tuned. Choosing the Right Fuse Rating for a 12V DC Project
You want to consider the total current draw under worst-case, not normal, operating conditions. Using slow-blow fuses will help deal with the initial inrush current. If, as you've indicated, your fuse is protecting the wiring and the battery, not the motor or anything else, then sizing it is based on the ampacity of the wiring and the capabilities of the battery. I believe 18 AWG is rates for about 10 A to 15 A, somewhere in there (look it up to be sure).

Look for projects that are of interest to you or others. When I was a sophomore, the school's theatre club wanted a couple of things that I designed and built for them. One was a circuit to ring an old-style telephone on stage and the other was to enable them to dim some spotlights. Both of my designs worked... for a while. How much does copper pour and via design actually help heat spreading on a PCB — rules of thumb vs. reality?
The situation: a few power components on a board, no room for a big heatsink, so the copper itself has to do a lot of the thermal work. The usual advice is "add more copper" and "put thermal vias under the pad" — but the details seem to matter a lot. What I'm trying to pin down: Copper pour: Beyond a certain area, does adding more copper actually keep helping, or do you hit a point of diminishing returns for heat spreading?
Androis w/ HDMI?
After my latest windows tablet died for NFR, I am thinking about using an Android tablet for my next buy. I want to use a KVM switch on this so I can use my KVM setup, after looking at all these Android I cannot see any HDMI out. Am I spitting upwind or does such a thing exist? I’m thinking I could change the OS to Linux if I can.

Toy car circuit problem
Hi guys i have problem with motherboard of toy car kids , when i plug 12v to the board i notice that the ic Mx3212b is heat quickly, when i test the vcc of ic i read 12v on dmm !! The Mx3212b is motor drive ic it need only 3v or 5v maximum . And the second problem is short circuit on the motor connector on the board . Can any one help me to solve the problem please
