Hello everyone, I'm just looking for a sanity check. I want to drive a 5V LED strip using one of the RGB outputs of a 5V WS2811 module. Each output is a PWM controlled constant-current sink (about 18mA). An LED is connected to 5V and the WS2811 output.

I need to power a 12V DC, 5-8A water pump.Ideally, I would create my own PCB with a relay and protection circuit, but time is short, so I'm looking to use the following two devices: a relay and a snubber. Would this be adequate, or do I need to add any additional protection? Maybe a flyback diode — but is that necessary if a snubber is already included?andDJ

So, my attenuator is basically a 50k potentiometer and 3 caps at present. It seems to work. It is a 100uf electrolytic in series with input and output to couple the signal, and a 100pf cap between the output of the potentiometer and ground. I guess I have no idea how to calculate the impedance, the bandpass, and to understand why it seems to add noise. It's definitely true, I have a lot of wires everywhere, so there will be plenty of noise picked up by the wires.
