Netflix isn't content with being one of the primary destinations users go to for long-form content. The streaming giant now also wants to enter the 'doom-scrolling' era and adopt the video format popularized by the likes of TikTok, Instagram, and YouTube. This doesn't come as a surprise. The streaming giant has been testing the vertical video feed since last year at the very least.

People go on Google Maps primarily to be able to get from point A to point B, but the application serves a bigger purpose. The app makes it easy to read and share reviews about establishments, with users sharing over 1 billion reviews and suggested 80 million updates to business hours, contact information and more in 2025 alone. Earlier this year, Google transformed Gemini into a true assistant by giving it personal knowledge. The knowledge I'm talking about comes via the 'Personal Intelligence' feature, which allows Gemini to tailor its responses by connecting itself to your Google ecosystem. This includes integration with apps like Gmail, Photos, Search, and even your YouTube History.

Android has three features that promise to help you focus. For a long time, I had no idea which one to use for what. Do Not Disturb, Focus Mode, and Bedtime Mode live in different parts of Settings. And they mute notifications in slightly different ways. However, Google has never done a good job explaining where one ends and the other begins. I spent months toggling whichever one I found first and hoping for the best. I'd turn on Focus Mode before a meeting, and still get notification sounds.

For years now, we've trained ourselves to be wary of unknown APKs. However, the same level of scrutiny has never really extended to the extensions we download for your browsers. Recent events have proven that browser extensions aren't all that harmless.

Google Wallet's ability to autofill details is a convenience, but the same convenience can be a little too eager at times. Imagine a situation where you're trying to fill out a form and your phone starts bringing up sensitive details that haven't been called for. Internet Protocol Captioned Telephone Service (IP CTS) provider Rogervoice, using high-speed speech-to-text (STT), allows users to transcribe calls word for word, all in real time. It differentiates itself from OS-level features like Android's Live Caption and Samsung Phone app's Call Captions by offering text-to-speech (TTS) functionality as well. The Rogervoice app has just hit two major milestones. The app has surpassed 10 million captioned calls, all while initiating US operations.
